About

This site, Terence Mckenna.com, is intended as a central resource for legitimate information about the works of late psychedelic philosopher, Terence McKenna (1946-2000). It is managed by Terence’s daughter Klea McKenna on behalf of LUX NATURA, a family partnership of Terence’s kids, Finn and Klea and their mother, ethnobotanist Kathleen Harrison. Terence and Kat founded Lux Natura in 1976 as a small publisher for their earliest projects. It has since evolved and embraced the job of stewarding Terence’s legacy into the future. LUX NATURA’s mission is to preserve Terence McKenna's original work, elevate his message and collaborate on future projects. We are currently working on creating an archive of Terence’s life and work which will be available for research and will generate new releases and collaborations. You can learn more and donate to this effort here.

The Bibliography accessible through this sites was generously created by librarian Chris Mays and the catalog of Terence’s personal library was created by Kevin Whitesides. We are grateful for the support of these dedicated scholars. And we are grateful for the generous support of Nostromo Foundation and the growing list of institutions and individual collectors who are generously sharing their materials in order to create a meaningful archive of Terence’s work:
